Warner thanks supporters, fully supports McKinley

MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – Mac Warner last night thanked the thousands of West Virginia 1st District voters who supported his bid to win the Republican nomination to Congress, and offered his full support to the victor, David McKinley.

"I am truly grateful for the friendship and support shown to me and my family throughout this campaign from voters across the district," said Warner.

Warner offered his congratulations and full support for McKinley.

"David and I ran spirited and aggressive campaigns, but at the end of the day his strength in his home county of Ohio was too much to overcome across the rest of the district," said Warner.

Our campaign raised more than $200,000 from small dollar donors across the state and the nation," said Warner. "That show of confidence humbles me in a way that I can never properly put into words."

Despite being outspent by a large margin by two opponents, Warner said he was proud of his showing on Tuesday.

Warner said his congressional campaign was a continuation of his on-going efforts to make West Virginia a better place to live, work and raise a family. "I look forward to joining all the 1st Congressional District Republican candidates on May 22nd in Charleston as we celebrate our Party's Unity Picnic." said Warner.

"Thank you to all my supporters, to my family, my friends, and to my fellow West Point graduates," said Warner. "I continue to stand ready to serve my state and my nation, as I always have."
